Educational Background

  • BA (Hons) Contemporary Fine Art – Sheffield Hallam University, UK

I’ve spent over 12 years in international education, specialising in Visual Arts and academic leadership. Most recently, I was Head of Year 13 and Extended Essay Coordinator at the British International School Abu Dhabi, where I also taught IB Visual Arts. In this role, I supported students through their final year of the Diploma Programme, mentored them with their Extended Essays and university applications, and helped build a vibrant arts culture. Highlights included launching exhibitions in spaces such as Yas Mall and the Louvre Abu Dhabi, collaborating with NYU Abu Dhabi, co-designing a new Creative Arts Centre, and forming community partnerships that gave students meaningful platforms to share their work.

Before the UAE, I taught IB MYP and DP Visual Arts at Fairview International School in Malaysia, led cross-curricular collaborations, and contributed to the school’s successful IB evaluation. I began my teaching career in the UK as a lecturer in Fine Art, Photography, and Printmaking.

I hold a Master of Education in Curriculum and Interdisciplinary Learning, a PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education, and a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Fine Art, all from Sheffield Hallam University, and I’m an experienced IB examiner for Visual Arts and Theory of Knowledge. Outside school, I enjoy cycling, exploring creative communities, and discovering new cultures through travel. I’m excited to join BIS Hanoi as Head of Art & Design, developing creative programmes and supporting students as they shape their paths in art and design.
