BSc (Hons), PGCE
Rhys is a dedicated chemistry teacher with training and experience in the British school system. He is passionate about delivering engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons that blend core scientific principles with contemporary research, aiming to inspire curiosity and critical thinking in his students.
Originally from the East Midlands, Rhys moved to London to pursue higher education. He graduated with honours from Queen Mary University of London with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Driven by a longstanding interest in education, he went on to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Science, specialising in Chemistry, at King’s College London.
Since beginning his teaching career, Rhys has taught science to students aged 11 to 18 across several schools in South and East London. His teaching practice is informed by a range of evidence-based strategies, including formative assessment, differentiation, and modelling. He is committed to continuous professional development and to creating inclusive learning environments that support the diverse needs of his students.
