Our CenturyTech platform gives our students the resources they need to learn in a way that works for them – helping to create custom pathways, backed up by powerful assessment data.

And Unifrog helps our Key Stage 5 students compare and apply for university courses. It also enables our teachers and counsellors to manage the application process effectively.

MEET BSY’S SLT MEMBERS

Our passionate team has extensive experience in international schools, which they’ll use to broaden your child's unique understanding of the world. They’ll do this through one-of-a-kind learning experiences delivered right here in Yangon, Myanmar.

Our core teaching team is supported by our excellent teaching assistants. Each assistant holds a bachelor's degree or higher, has boosted their skills through Nord Anglia training, and has in-depth knowledge of working with children in English.

Principal
Gary leads our advanced, safe, and vibrant learning environment, helping our team to nurture each child's strengths and passions. He has over a decade of experience in international education.

He has spent the past 14 years working in British international schools across Vietnam, Brazil, Japan, China, the UAE, and Venezuela.

During this time, he has taken on a variety of academic, pastoral, and leadership roles, always with a focus on helping students thrive. With his wealth of international experience and genuine passion for education, he brings energy, warmth, and a clear vision for the future of our school community.

Christopher Eley
Head of Secondary
Chris is a passionate teacher who loves working with students in the classroom. With more than 20 years in international education, he has dedicated his career to helping learners unlock their potential and nurture their unique strengths and passions.

He brings a wealth of qualifications to our Head of Secondary role, including a BA (Hons) in French & Spanish and UK Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE, QTS). With his strong academic background and professional expertise, he is well-equipped to inspire students, enhance their learning experiences, and support them in achieving their full potential.

Laura Heathfield
Head of Primary
With over 18 years of teaching experience, including 9 years in leadership, she brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to education. Her journey began in England, where she spent 13 years supporting and shaping the same school community.

With a deep commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning, she strives to make a positive impact on every community she serves.
