Once again, BVIS Hanoi proudly confirms its reputation for academic excellence. Following the announcement of the impressive A Level and IGCSE 2025 results, the school has proven that its students have significantly outperformed the United Kingdom's national averages across all key grade metrics.
This achievement stands as a clear testament to the exceptional quality of teaching, the rigorous academic programme, and the dedication and hard work of the students.
Compared to the UK national average, BVIS Hanoi students achieved:
• An A*–A pass rate of 47% (substantially higher than the UK average of 28%).
• An A*–B rate of 71% (compared to the UK average of 55%).
• A perfect 100% overall A*–E pass rate (compared to 97% in the UK).
Similarly, the IGCSE 2025 results show remarkable performance:
• An A*–A pass rate of 46% (more than double the UK average of 22%).
• An A*–C rate of 86% (outperforming the UK average of 67%).
• A perfect 100% overall A*–G pass rate (compared to 95% in the UK).
The significant difference in the achievement of top grades (particularly at the A*–A level) highlights how well-prepared BVIS students are to compete on an international stage.
At BVIS Hanoi, the IGCSE curriculum offers flexibility with 14 subjects (excluding core subjects) and 260 possible subject combinations, allowing students to tailor their learning journey.
The A Level examinations, administered by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CIE), are the gold standard, recognised in over 160 countries and by 11,000+ global universities, including prestigious institutions such as: Oxford, Ivy League (US), G8 (Australia), and S.K.Y (Korea).
Crucially, A Level graduates are often exempt from university foundation programmes, making them eligible for direct entry into the first year of university and effectively shortening their studies by a year. This competitive advantage makes A Levels the most solid academic pathway for ambitious students aiming for the world's best universities.
